#Why? The stock shroud had issues with overhangs and stringing, this shroud concentrates the airflow towards the tip of the nozzle to improve things. I'm currently using the latest iteration v9 however v5 was also performing nicely on the benchmark and is easier to print. I made sure the design looks as close as possible to the original shroud. I tested all versions with the "All In One 3D printer test" using PLA at 195C and 0.1313mm layer height. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2975429) #How? v5 prints in place without support, if your printer is sufficient enough at bridging v9 is somewhat tricky and needs support for the slope. I suggest printing in the orientation of the STL file. (see pictures, using ideaMaker) #Tuning You can edit the nozzle_height_finetuning = 3; variable in the .scad file to adjust the height for your exact nozzle. PS: If you haven't printed a filament guide (to prevent scratching of the filament on your printers metal finish) have a look at this awesome thing! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2823167 (Or the improved version here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3178397 )
