UPDATE!!! IT'S FINISHED (KIND OF)!!!!!!! Some parts require dremeling for proper fitting, but I managed to get mine assembled fairly easy, and I'm in love with this look. Adds bulk, plus general appeal to the machine to me. I love pvc and am very happy with the results. To start off, im extremely new to 3D imaging, 3D printing, and any type of cad style programs. Never before have I used one prior to about a month ago, and I am entirely self taught. With that said, I do not think I know everything by any stretch of the imagination. The main point in me joining this page is seeking help in my designs from individuals that out class me, and to network with those individuals. This is my first big design I've been working on that'll benefit others as well as myself. Now onto the design. I've seen alot of the metal rod z-braces, and wanted to design something to give my wanhao duplicator i3 a little bit different look from the rest, so I designed what I will be calling "The Roll Cage". When it is fully assembled and attached to the machine, it will act as a great support for the main tower to prevent forward and back swaying without having to settle for the only way out. I personally love working with pvc, and that's what inspired this style brace system. These are the fixed versions of the v1 design I did as seen in the pics, and is made to use 3/4" pvc with. Currently all parts will fit with minor dremel work to clean up some edges of screw slots as it is a snug tight fit. I've added in slots to allow some up and down play. I will update pics as soon as I add in the pvc. Should give a great look to the machine when finished. The first version needed some minor tweaking, and will continue to grow and change into what you see in the files and very soon to come pictures. I've also added every file attached to any upgrade you see on my machine. They're one's I've dug and dug and dug through countless files looking for ideals parts, and these are the ones I ended up with. I'll be designing my own filament guide that is a bit closer to the tower, and simple quick glue stick holder that'll snap onto the top of the tower, along with my own tool holder that holds what I consider the essentials (a caliper needs a spot on a tool holder more than scissors IMO and a hook on the end of the scrapper holder seems to be somewhat essential for me).
