Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2 bed spring cap
thingiverse
Caps for the bottom of the springs in the Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2. I noticed that bed leveling was a real pain and discovered some issues were caused by the springs on the bottom not staying straight with the top. The top is held by the protruding bolt, but outside of another bolt at the bottom or an overly complicated part, I didn't have a quick solution. Then it hit me - a cap with a hole in it. The spring fits perfectly inside and the hole in the center is just right to fit through. They add 1mm or so to the base and keep the spring from sliding. The washer still goes on the bottom. The spring stays put by the hole in the center and the uniform inset it's placed in. Originally designed to enclose both top and bottom, I don't recommend this at all. It's best if the top is left held by the bolt above. Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 2mm Infill: 100 Notes: Printed with PLA, I haven't made adjustments to ABS yet. Perhaps in the future but I haven't used ABS yet though a spool is sitting in my bin hinting at me. I believe shrinkage will have an adverse effect on this, to be honest. PLA Recommended! Four of these would likely be required. This only has one. Please duplicate when you slice.
