Wanhao Duplicator i3 Z-axis Riser
thingiverse
A Z-axis riser for the Wanhao i3's switch. You'll need: 4x M3 hex nut. 2x M3 x 25mm screw (edit: 30mm might be better). Some glue. The original Z-axis switch screws (M2 I think). The printed parts. Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 100 Microns Infill: 30% Notes: Printed slowly because the parts are small. The frame mount part's orientation isn't quite right. Print it as you see fit. How I Designed This Assembly Select your version. (Normal V1 or extended V2). I prefer V2 because the adjustment screws are easier to reach and turn than on V1. Print the parts. Clean the parts. Press fit the M3 nuts in the "thumb wheels" and "frame mount" parts. Mount the "frame mount" to the frame. Screw the M3 screws into the "thumb wheels" as hard as you can (try clamping the thumb screws with a pair of pliers). Screw the M3 screws with the "thumb wheels" into the "frame mount". Slide the "switch mount" holes over the screws (and guide rod in extended version). Determine where your switch should sit on "switch mount". Glue the switch to the "switch mount". I used a glue gun for this. Feel free to make recommendations!
