Wanhao i3 Plus MK10 Flexible Extruder

Flexible filament MK10 extruder for the I3 Plus. I tried a few different ones found here but they all appeared to be remixed off MK8/9 designs with some flaws - the filament guide hole was not aligned properly and or the extruder plate lever base was not thick enough resulting in too much slop in the extruder lever. So I designed one from scratch based off the stock MK10 extruder that came with my plus. Alignment and thickness are correct and I've raised the spring nipple plate up 1.5mm for increased tension. Install is fairly simple. Cut a 4mm piece of PTFE tube on the bottom as shown in the pictures. You may need to clean up the bottom hole with a hobby knife after printing but it should be a perfect pressure fit for the tube. The purpose of the PTFE tube is to support the filament between the extruder exit and cold break entry to prevent kinking after retractions. Print Settings Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .20 Infill: 25 Notes: Highly recommend to print with supports. This area should not be hot so PLA is fine. If it is you have problems with cooling and your cold break is not working properly. Post-Printing
