This simple holder for a microswitch acts as a crucial end stop/emergency stop for my Wanhao i3 V2.1, preventing the z-axis from colliding with the frame in case of a malfunction. For some reason, Marlin unexpectedly pushed the axis to the top during UBL grid measurements. I utilized a readily available microswitch (similar to this one: https://www.adafruit.com/product/817), but be sure to check its dimensions first. The FreeCAD source for this design is included in case you want to modify it. Securely fasten the microswitch to the holder using two screws, then slide the assembly onto a sheet of metal as shown in the provided images. To keep everything in place, apply some hot glue to fix the assembly firmly. Once assembled, connect the cables to either the motherboard's ZMAX endstop or to Octoprint and use it as an emergency stop button.
