To replace the nut hole with a 10mm circle hole, you'll need to accommodate a washer and a 5x40mm bolt that screws into the original thread. This way, you won't have to space the pulley with washers and can keep it in its stock position. I think this is a better approach for mounting the bolt, especially when keeping the original pulley. Simply use the original method of attaching the pulley and tighten the 5x40mm M5 bolt to the original thread on the wall, maintaining the same distance as before by using the same lock nut. Just add another one on the other side, which ensures that the distance remains exactly the same as the factory. You will need two M5 nylon nuts (you can reuse one and get only one additional) and a 5x40mm M5 bolt to complete this modification.
