WanHao Printer 3d - Guide Adapter

WanHao Printer 3d - Guide Adapter

thingiverse

The Wanhao printer, is using guides (tubes), to guide the filament from the spool to the extruder. This is so the filament wont break. But the guides don't actually fit in the holes inside the extruder. This "thing" is a small adaptor part, that makes it all fit together again. Note, the problem this part is trying to fix may or may not be an issue that only appears on my printer. You know best for yourself if your Wanhao is having this issue as well. In any case, this is my first thing on thingiverse, and the part is simple, but it seems to work fine for me. I printed mine in PLA, with and without supports, and I used Simplify 3d as splicer. Both prints work and fit fine. Instructions I used OpenSCad to model this thing. I had some issues first to get the dimensions right, but by test-printing, and then recalculating the model size, I ended up with the right dimensions.
