Warhammer Hex Driver Keychain

Warhammer Hex Driver Keychain

prusaprinters

Inspired by the Sept 2022 flash functional keychain contest, this little gadget doubles as a driver for standard hex bits (front of hammer), and the back is intended to be useable as a spudger for electronics and similar.

The keychain is designed to be printed in 2 separate parts - the handle and the hammer. Recommended layout for printing:
- Head printed with bottom on the print bed, so that the top has the better finish. This has already been done in the provided 3mf. (You can revert, if you'd prefer the bottom to have the better finish, or simply flip on assembly)
- Handle printed on the side, with the keyring hole facing up, so that the overhangs at the top are printed sideways, and don't need supports. (also done in the provided 3mf)

Supports recommended for the head. The handle has been designed as not to need them.

The keychain can then be assembled by sliding the handle through the head (from the top to bottom). In a test print during development, the fit was tight enough to keep the head sliding down the handle without applying some force, though with the design as it is currently, you may want a dab of glue to keep it from sliding from daily use (in pocket, purse, backpack, etc.).

Note that at around 9.5 cm long (almost 4"), the keychain is on the longer side in its current state. I may add a variant with a shorter handler later.
