So I've been getting a lot of messages about what I've been working on lately ... well, here you go. This is still a big work in progress, but i thought i would go ahead and release what i have now. Just in case someone wanted to get started printing. Follow the Explosion STL files for visual instructions on how all of the parts go together. Few notes: - I am not incredibly happy with how i sliced the shin, I may rework it later - The hydraulics for the toes were too small for my printer to print correctly. I used tiny Plastruct tubes instead. - The armor pieces for the hip hydraulics were also a bit too small for my printer to print correctly, so I have uploaded two larger size options. The one in the image is 1pt3x UPDATE: Torso is complete :) I know it's been awhile but I'm almost done. Only thing left now is just the guns. The holes in the upper/outer left and right shoulder bits are for where the gun points will mount (the ones above and below) So don't cover them up. Unless you want a titan without guns ... I suppose it doesn't matter too much, it could still just stomp the bad guys to death. But I digress. And again, follow the explosion stl for instructions. Few more notes: - The power tubs for the head don't print so well. Use wires from a broken power supply, or Christmas wire, or metal coat hanger, or something else ... you get the idea. - The catwalk is too small for my printer to print correctly. I built mine out of Plastruct. - The eagle on the hood above the head comes out a bit thin. When printing consider making it twice as tall/thick. - You might want to wait to glue the Shoulder_Upper_Outside_L/R pieces to the rest of the model until the gun mounts are ready. You will need to make sure the bottom slot of the Shoulder_Upper_Outside_L/R lines up with the open slot of Shoulder_Lower_L/R. - There are two versions of the head. One with supports and one without. My machine doesn't always do the best job when it comes to auto generating supports. Update: Guns are complete, which means this entire project is complete, which means ... thank goodness because this was a lot of work. The top guns slide right in. For the lower guns, you need to detach the torso from the legs and push them into their slots at a 45° angle from the front. Then rotate around until it locks into place. It's important to line up your entry points properly, otherwise it may be a tight turn. Few more notes: - For the lower guns use the ScrewPin_v2. The star head of the screw will allow you to set the front facing of the gun. It's important that the top part of the screw head is perpendicular to the gun itself. - The pipes on the vents were too thin for my printer and didn't come out well. ... I just left them off, didn't seem to add much visual for me. If you really want them I suppose you could make some out of Plastruct. - The eagles on the barrels also did not come out well. I ended up cleaning them off. Perhaps a sticker or painting will be best suited to fix this. - I wanted the weapons for this to be a bit modular, so I made this in such a way that you do not need to glue the guns in place. Minor Update: I have modified the shins a bit and have added pins to help with support and alignment.
