I was disappointed by a 14 hour print that showed warping in one of its walls, despite being reinforced by its design, but this was caused not by the design itself but by the structural weakness at that point, where one wall collapsed under the weight of the other sections, and could be resolved by reinforcing it with strategically placed gussets. I soon discovered the culprit - the weakened point - when I printed a second piece, the mirror sister of the first one in pink, this time taking precautions to reinforce that weak area. In my initial attempt, four evenly spaced gussets were enough to support the vulnerable wall, but only after using a dremel and some ABS glue to fix the structural issue of a previous failure. This time however the method was applied successfully without complications due to knowledge about potential warping areas. By taking note of these design limitations before starting with the project we can prevent the structural issues by incorporating additional supports such as gussets that provide a significant improvement on prints' accuracy and integrity, so if you anticipate any problems it would be wise to reinforce strategically critical zones like I did.
