Warrior Design Combat Knife

This is my rendition of the famous warrior design by Randy Wanner. It is nearly identical to Guy Rafaeli's version made by Spyderco, except it has no scales on the hilt (for now), and the blade is slightly longer and has a sharper tip angle - closer to the original Al Mar version. Like Rafaeli's version, the hand guard curves away from the fist rather than toward it, to allow for smoother transitioning. The Warrior is a combat knife that has been produced in some form by several different companies since the 70s, most auspiciously by Spyderco and the late Al Mar. It is designed for the reverse grip tactics of Hwa Rang Do, and the distinctive S-shape lets the tip and the blade's edge stay constantly in line with your arm's arc of motion, increasing the relative speed of the edge and keeping the tip centered for maximum force. The serrated rear (Michael Echanis' sole contribution to the design) was originally added to increase its field utility but is more valued by modern Hwa Rang Do practitioners as a handy traction device that can help control an opponent or sweep him off his feet when hooked behind a joint.
