The WARTHOG is the first open-source, 3D-printable night vision mounting system ever created.

Features:

Tough wide-body design

Dovetail-stlye slot compatible with most NVGs

Single-button folding system for stowing device on top of the helmet

Two-button eye distance adjustment

Screw-secured height adjustment

Slider-release standard NVG shroud mount

Requires only off-the-shelf nuts, bolts and metal springs

Fully parametric

The market for NVG mounting systems currently isn't very budget-friendly, taking away valuable budget from any new purchase of a night vision setup.

The WARTHOG aims to improve this situation by allowing anyone to 3D print a fully functional and tough NVG mounting system with negligible production cost, while providing a secure platform to mount even heavier binocular devices.

For any requests or feedback, find me on Discord: Markus#1503.

The CAD design is currently not available publicly, but might be in the future.

Disclaimer

Do not, I repeat, do not rely on this mount alone when mounting your expensive equipment. Always use in combination with a lanyard or other safety measure in case the mount fails. Do not blame me for broken equipment or toes.

Known Issues

Eye distance adjustment currently goes from "very far" to "medium" distance but not closer. Will be fixed in next version.

No pitch adjustment. Currently the angle between the sled and the shroud mount is 112°. I can provide files for the connector part with different angles if needed. Future versions might come with pitch adjustment.

Assembly

See the Assembly Instructions!
