Watch Box

Watch Box

This is the second version of this. I've made some improvements over the last box that I put up. This one includes a lid and has been re-sized to fit my G-Shock. The hinge pins are printed and then epoxied in place. I suppose you could use a bolt, but I've found the printed pins are sufficient. There is also a recess for magnets to hold the lid closed. I added a stop to the lid hinge to keep the lid from flopping back all the way and I've also beefed up the inserts that you strap your watch to while in the box. Add some foam to the inside of the lid and you'll have yourself a pretty sturdy watch box for your home, or for your travels. The magnets I designed around are 10mm x 2.6mm and can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D8QPG2Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Supports are not required. Print the lid with the top down. Print the bottom with the bottom down. Print the pins (2 of them) with the head down. Print the inserts (6 of them) with the side down. I'm not printing it completely solid, because it takes forever, but I am printing it with 6 lines for the walls, top, and bottom. I have infill set to 25% for the rest. You can set yours up however you'd like. Update: one pair of magnets is not enough, so I added two more pairs of magnets. The stopper nub on the hinge wasn't big enough to do anything before so it has been increased in size.
