My Nalgen brand water bottle (pictured) is too big for my 'standard' sized cupholder, so I made this adapter. The bottom part still continues to support most "normal" sized cups/water bottles. Hope you find it useful... and yes, I know I can "remove" the existing cupholders for larger bottles, but that got tiring and annoying :-) For sizing (to see if it will work for you), the bottom part tapers up from 68-78mm in diameter from bottom to top and is 45mm high before the bevel out.. Top part is 90mm in diameter and is around 44mm to the top of the bevel. I might make the top part a little taller at some point, but it works for me now.
