I offer thanks to Hyungsoo Kim who posts on the Grasshopper forum for providing the fundamental definition for this part. I added more Grasshopper components, a top and bottom surface, and altered the geometry to make the part 3D printable. My AAtom2 delta-style printer took over 24 hours to print this part at a layer height of 0.200 mm and a print speed of 100 mm/sec. A short 3D rotation video showing the part is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VB9xIXqSA1A. The second photo displays the dish with tortellini, cashews, and dried apricots. Although it's not the most appealing combination, that's what I had readily available. More information about Grasshopper, parametric modeling, and how architecture can provide ideas for 3D printing is available at: http://birkbinnard.com/blog/.
