Waterproof Container

Waterproof Container

thingiverse

This is a container designed to fit 2L and similar bottle caps to allow it to be waterproof. Smoothing of the top surface may be necessary. The idea is that this will be utilized for something such as hiking to hold a map, or matches, or something along those lines. I plan on printing it tonight so I will upload a picture and any updates if I need to. Feel free to create whatever you want on the case/from this. UPDATE: It works! I tested it with a cap from Kikoman soy sauce and a cap from a bottle of wine, it wasn't compatible with milk carton caps due to the inner lip of the plastic, but should be compatible with soda bottle caps. I didn't have matches or anything so I put candy in it for the picture. I will hopefully add more features soon. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Monoprice Duplicator I3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1 Infill: 20 Post-Printing Just add a bottle cap and your container should be waterproof. How I Designed This Design Details I utilized solidworks and the GPI standard to create this design, the thread info can be found at gpi.org and the thread is gpi 400, without the optional piece and extending slightly further.
