These symmetrical wave ripples are preseved in a varve-like silstone that probably has its orogins in a glacial lake. The sample is orientated right-way up stratigraphically, but because these ripples are a cast of the original structure, the ripples are best viewed from the underneath side of the sample. Scalebar is also on the underside.
