Wax Seal

This wax seal was inspired by a seal impression from the House of Tiles in Lerna as seen here:http://antiquatedantiquarian.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-minoans-seals-and-sealings.html It was trickier to get a good impression than I thought, and I tried about a dozen times before I got the so-so one in the picture. There are a lot of good tutorials for using wax seals on Youtube. It also helps to dunk the seal in ice water for a few seconds before using. It can be used with the ring base or stamp base. The ring base is approximately size 10, per my understanding of ring sizes. Print Settings Printer: Polyprinter 229 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 70% Infill: 12.5% Notes: When I printed this with the support material set to be used for angles over 45 degrees, it didn't print with support material, but wound up with some scraggly ends at the top of the ring, so it might be worth trying it with a lower angle. Post-Printing On a previous version, the wax kept get stuck in the seal. For this version I brushed a little acetone over the impression surface and let it sit over night, and it seems like it did the trick.
