Weather Radio / General Purpose Shelf
thingiverse
Living in a Faraday cage makes getting a good signal from radios nearly impossible at home. Normally, I simply run an antenna out of a window to get the job done, but without modifying my weather radio, and attaching an external antenna wasn't an option. Luckily, placing it next to a kitchen window gives it adequate access to airwaves for a reliable signal. I just needed somewhere to put it. Enter the general-purpose shelf. Designed to be hung with two screws, there's a slot in the back where you can run the power cord. It's simple and effective - what more do you need? Print it with 1.6mm walls, 1.0mm top and bottom at either 0.2 or 0.3mm layer height, and 20% infill in the orientation shown. Supports aren't necessary. **NOTE** *Due to a Thingiverse bug or (more likely) shadowbanning, my models no longer appear under the Newest listings. If you want to see more of my designs, please follow me. If you print this, it would really help if you'd post a Make so that others could find this model.*
