Web Belt Buckle

Web Belt Buckle

thingiverse

Here is a web belt/strap buckle that won't slip loose once fastened. This has a pivoting latch with teeth that clamps down on the webbing to prevent slippage. This has worked with many types of webbing and elastic. Even smooth webbing like that of seat belts does not slip. The buckle file here will take a 50mm strap. In your slicer, this can be easily scaled up or down along the Y axis to accommodate other strap widths. The X and Z axis can also be scaled together to make it smaller or larger overall. Be sure to enable support generation in your slicer, and use a raft. Once printed, the raft and supports should peel away easily. You will need to push down and back up on the toothed latch a few times to get it moving freely. A stopper keeps the latch from rotating too far away from the strap. This makes it easier to fasten the buckle. Included are files for two different styles of belt end caps. These are also 50mm and can scaled the same as above.
