Webcam Camera Platform for T-slot printer frame

Set your laptop webcam on a platform for your T-slot framed 3D printer. This is more for a camera with a L shaped bracket that would normally hang over the screen of your laptop. Using T-slot, you can easily swivel the camera view. The pictures are of the platform, the camera on the platform and the view from the camera as seen on the Octoprint Control page. I use Octoprint to move the z-axis when necessary. If you tend to manually move your z-axis by twisting each coupling, you'll need to move the platform farther down the frame out of the way. Camera tip: With this type of camera, the focal length is way off. From the factory, it's setup to capture a foot or two away from the lens. Since this camera is a few centimeters from what you want to see, you have to open the camera and turn the focus inside. I had to disassemble the camera, only a couple screws, then twist the camera lens. The lens housing does not freely move, since it has a dab of glue on the threads from the factory. You'll need to break off or cut away the dab of glue to allow the lens housing to twist. It feels like you're breaking something due to the force needed, but it worked out well for me. If you're not comfortable with opening a camera, get a camera that's designed to change focus.
