My Bump Knob kind of disintegrated on me today. Go to the lawnmower parts store? Not today. A little measuring; a little OpenScad; A couple of test prints, Wola. Problem solved, at least from a proof of concept standpoint. I am not sure how it will hold up. It's been a month or two. It seems to be holding up pretty well. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 3 Notes: The bolt that it has to fit is about 18 mm tall. The barrel of the shaft measured across the threads is about 8 mm. The Head of the bolt is about 13 mm measured from one flat side to another. The bolt head is about 5 mm tall. As this is a proof of concept I printed mine at about 4% fill. I am going to see how it wears and up it as need. It takes about 3.5 meters of filament. At 40/80 speed, it prints in about 35 minutes. If there is a demand for other sizes, I will put a customizer version together and publish it. 04/2017 - second round. The print broke near the hex nut. I am doing a new print in pla. 20% fill instead of 4%, and 6 shells, the estimated build time is up to 45 minutes. Post-Printing It might be useful to print a hex plug that you can glue into place so that the bolt doesn't fall out.
