Weighted Engineer's Pen Cup

Weighted Engineer's Pen Cup

thingiverse

My father asked if I could make a cup to hold a single pen or 2. He wanted it weighted and conical. When I whipped this up for him, he said "That's just like the one I had on my drafting table in the 70's!". Bottom of cup is open to take a 51mm OD, 21mm ID, 3mm thick washer. It's probably imperial sized, but I didn't bother measuring. Instructions Printed using 20% infill for a little more mass. ABS at 0.3mm layers. Had to print with supports for the Washer hole, which means my slicer had to add supports to the inside of the cup. If you can stop the slicer from adding supports after a certain layer or overhang, do so, the cone of the cup should print fine without. Sanded the opening a bit to get the washer to fit. Few drops of CA glue to hold. Applied an adhesive rubber bottom for grip and appearance.
