Weighted Hammer / Simple Hammer

Hey! This is a hammer with a choice of parts so you can print 3 versions that I prepared ("All parts" files - description below) or combine your own. It's simple and it doesn't require any supports or additional rafts, brims etc. just level the bed. I use it mostly to bump prints from the hotbed but you can scale it and use it however you like. You can print head-covers separately using TPU or other rubber-like material if you're worried about damaging the thing that you're about to hit. Set bottom and top layers to 4, infill to 40% minimum (40-100%) but you don't have to worry about layer height - the one on the photo was printed in PLA with a 0.6 nozzle and 0.32 layer height (Cura "Draft quality") and it's enough for me. It works, it doesn't need to be pretty ;) One that I printed is the version with one plug in 375% scale and I used some washers as weights. If you want to scale it to the size of your weights then use the Hammer-Plug.stl to set the scale as it is exactly the size of weighted hammer's head opening, then use the same scale for all the other parts IMPORTANT INFO: If you want an exact, tight fit then print all the parts in the same scale (handle fits really tight but you wont have to glue anything). If you want an easier assembly then slightly scale the Hammer-Handle.stl down and then use CA glue or epoxy to connect it to the head. Weighted-Hammer-One-Plug-All-Parts - (recommended version): Fill the head with weights to the level of the hammer-head handle-opening or just slightly more so the handle pressess on them (as show in the photo), then put the handle in and check if your weights don't rattle. Then fill the rest with weights and plug it, put covers on and test it. If you're satisfied with the weight and there's no rattling sounds inside then you can glue the plug with CA glue or epoxy etc. so it won't fall out during intense hammering, but it's not mandatory ;) Weighted-Hammer-Two-Plugs-All-Parts: You can put the handle first and then add weights from both sides - easier assembly but I strongly recommend gluing the plugs to the head and using head covers. Simple-Hammer-All-Parts - not-weighted simple head + handle + covers Simplest-Hammer - most basic just the simple head and the handle
