Replacement part for Sony WH-1000xm3 inside the right swivel mechanism. There is a crappy plastic part that breaks if the headphones are overextended. This part has a small blue o-ring on the lowest ring and a metal ring ostensibly holding the swivel to the head piece. This was quite tricky to replicate but seems to work well.

Printing

I painted on supports inside the
3mf
file. Otherwise any material that you can glue should be ok. I used Fusion Filament Proton Pink HTPLA+.

Assembly

I uploaded the full part
stl
and also split in two in the
3mf
file. Since the headphone wires go THROUGH this part there was no easy way to assemble this.

I drilled out all the holes to get a bit more precise dimensions. If you do this you will need a 2mm and 1.5mm drill bit.

Print the
3mf
version which is two halves of the part, then assemble them around the wire after you've removed the broken part from the headphones. You may have to cut off the broken part since there is no obvious way to unroute the wire.

Reassemble in reverse

hope this helps someone
