Wheel Exercise

An exercise at the end of a course on modifiers I took on CG Cookie. I learned a lot making this wheel, and I certainly didn’t pick an easy one. The modifiers that got used the most were mirror and array of course, but there was also solidify, and some use of the magnet snap to face tool. I could’ve used shrinkwrap for the tire tread to snap around the base of the wheel, but magnet tool seemed to be the better way to go. It got really difficult especially when figuring out the curves toward the inner portion around the star, but I think it turned out really nicely! I’ll probably texture this in the future once I learn enough about UV mapping.
