Wheel - Modio/Thingmaker
thingiverse
I got hooked on the Thingmaker app and made a Raptor, and I really liked the designs, so I searched through all the ones listed here until I found the wheel that caught my eye. My design was inspired by Marakew's wheel: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:491232. I knew the design had some flaws, but it got me thinking about how to make a functional wheel for the Modio/Thingmaker parts. It is essentially its own bearing, with two parts printed together as one solid piece. To prevent the parts from being pulled off the print bed, I added tiny supports across the center piece to the exterior. They just need to be cut or broken to free the wheel. Print Settings: Printer: XYZ Da Vinci 1.0 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 15-20% Notes: I printed four of these at 15% infill and 35mm/s.
