This is my final animation entry. During initial development I named this project "Boobytrap run". It has come quite a long way since conceptually and visually... I present "Wheel of the Misfortunates". About my process in KeyShot: I set out to make an animation using only the tools available within KeyShot and delivered as a single unedited rendering. The video of the animation is unaltered KeyShot output. I used the Toon material in combination with regular KeyShot materials. E.g. boobytrap spikes are titanium, track 'tarmac' (black & red) is adapted rubber... I added some music (licensed through Vimeo Music Store) in Adobe Premiere CS6 to help set the mood. Ambient music in the beginning is "Beyond Space" by Spuntic (Creative Commons) (http://spuntic.bandcamp.com/). All models were tailor-made for the Toon Challenge by myself in SolidWorks 2013. The complete SolidWorks model (master assembly, all subassemblies and parts) -as used for the animation- can be downloaded as a zip archive. Check this project's Files tab. ;-) ***On several sections, I used the wonderfully adaptable "Circular saw blade" SolidWorks model from lentz: Circular saw blade ***Credit for the base procedural shaders that I used for the planets, goes to John Seymour. http://onepixeldeep.magix.net/album/ Link to video (HD): https://vimeo.com/70823140 I hope you like it!
