Where Shall We Travel To Today?

“Where Shall We Travel to Today?” The overall concept for this design was based on the many places I would like to travel to. Besides the several destinations, the artistic approach was creating model geometry using SolidWorks, and developing the idea as I went along. Some of the sketches used, had to be constrained, so that slight tweaks to the model geometry did not create “undesired” effects. I searched for images of buildings, and or structures, and from those images, and “freehanded” all of the geometry sketches to create individual models through a singular printable piece. After some consideration, I decided to make some of the pieces individual, so that they would all fit within the main base of the display. Although, not exactly scaled replicas, the visualization, and identifying structures should speak for themselves. Instead of creating one structure for this design, I felt it would be better to explore many in one concept. I felt this would be a nice display piece, which can be printed in multiple colors, or painted. The structures include the Great Wall of China, the Washington Monument, the Eiffel Tower, the Greek Acropolis Parthenon, the Taj Mahal, and the Great Pyramids of Giza. Overall assembly measures 8.39" L x 5.75" W x 6.11" H So, where shall we travel to today?
