Wide COVID-19 Face Shield with snap-in arms (Remixed from Prusa design)

This is a re-mixed design of the Prusa face shield found at https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/25857-prusa-protective-face-shield-rc2 After trialling by an Australian hospital, we have made some modifications to suit our local requirements. These modifications are; 1) Increased side coverage by 45mm on each side, 2) Modified buttonhole elastic mounts to suit our domestic supply; 3) 230mm high, 330mm wide visor, to be laser cut from 0.5mm to 0.75mm PET-G sheets. 4) Reduced height of headband to reduce printing time, 5) Stress relief on curves of mounting arms to reduce chance of failure when fitting the visor. 6) Thicker walls on bottom reinforcment to reduce failure due to layer separation and increase longevity. 7) Snap in arms to bring the visor as close to the face as possible, 8) Mounting lugs for laser-cut cotton sweatbands to improve comfort during use. For the printed parts, we have found that Aurarum brand custom P-PLA prints well at; Headband: 225C extruder, 50C bed Bottom Reinforcement: 240C extruder, 70C bed (extra layer adhesion is required) We use Flashforge Creator Pros, glass bed, Elmer's disappearing purple glue stick for adhesion while printing) For information on how to disinfect 3D printed face shields, please visit https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/prusa-face-shield-disinfection_125457/ We are providing these face shields for free, as non-sterile Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Disinfection and usage must be determined by the recipent, based on your own usage requirements.
