Wide mouth mason jar strainer/shaker with lid

My first (sad) attempt at something really useful. I REALLY hope others more knowledgeable than I will take this idea and run with it. I'd be the first in line to print out their version! I've recently gotten into making homemade everything-I-can-think-of, like laundry detergent (simple) and carpet powder (also very simple). What I really wanted was a convenient way to store and use the carpet powder. AlexEnglish's Canning Jar Strainer Lid caught my eye, but it didn't have a cover. So, after several back and forths using Autodesk's 123D Design, this is my take on adding a hinge and cover to it. I printed this out using PLA. Hence the reinforcement clip and very thick lid. I just used CA glue to attach the reinforcement clip to the lid. It might require some mild filing, depending on your printer's capabilities. Mine is calibrated fairly well, but the hinge was a bit tight. Working it back and forth for a while loosened it up, on mine. Again, I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable will improve on this idea.
