The laser cut platform for Thimble.io's first kit, the wifi-robot. Designed for ~3mm thick birch plywood. Other materials may work fine as well. How I Designed This Software This was designed using LibreCAD, an open source 2D CAD tool . LibreCAD had some limitations, the largest of which was a viable scripting language. Because of this, the encoders were designed using a python script that used xdotool to click on the user interface, type the commands, and click through the tools.
