Wii U External Antenna Mount

I added and external antenna to my Wii U. This goes on a vertically standing unit, near the back corner, on top of the fan and USB ports. USB ports are still fully usable. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Smartrap Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 100% Notes: Flip it 180 on Y axis so the back flat part is laying flat. Without rafts, this part comes out nice and smooth. I added my own supports, circular tubes, that have .35mm walls, at .2mm layers, my printer was extruding at .35mm wide. I tend to have issues with supports that are too close to the main structure, they tend to fuse and makes taking off a pain. Since the object is flat, then support is needed for the antenna holder section. The support structures didn't need support, but the flat part did. Also, the opening for the rubber feet, which gets used to anchor the whole unit to the Wii U, needed support. Make sure you change your minimum perimeters though, or a single walled .35mm tube will turn into a cylinder. Otherwise this will make a very thin support that will come right off using an xacto knife. I recommend 100% infill. Took 2 hours to print on my slow as heck printer, but because I added a 15" 9dbi antenna, I wanted to make sure it would hold up to the stresses. Post-Printing Antenna port side. You may or may not need to alter this depending on the antenna you use. Mine was 13.74mm thick, so I added a 14mm opening. This opening also allows use of a deep socket 8mm wrench bit, to mount the SMA nut. Depending on your need, you may be fine cutting out the entire front support lattice. DO NOT remove both front and back, the 45 degree ramps, as they are there to support for rotational torque on the SMA mount. If you choose a lower density or take out both supports, you may run the risk of the tab holding the antenna port, and thus the antenna, to just snap off. How I Designed This I was trying to get an exact shape, but my kinect was picking it up weird, even after covering it with painters' tape. So I traced an outline and used it as a reference image in blender. Lots of calipers and a little patience.
