Window Shelf Support

Window Shelf Support

prusaprinters

This is a pretty simple shelf support that was designed to hang from a window sash. Specifically, I wanted a place to put plants to get some indirect sun, but be out of the way.

The hex pattern is just infill and can be changed to whatever infill you prefer. I used PLA, but PETG may be appropriate if direct sun or heat is likely. I used plywood for the shelf, but acrylic or some metal might work well too. The shelf depth should be cut a little shy of 150mm (5-7/8"). The sash I designed this for is 36mm (1-7/6") thick. May need adjustment or shims for different windows.

Top and bottom layers should be set to 0. I used 8 layers for perimeter shells. My infill was hex at 5% with a 0 degree fill angle.
