Wine Bottle resealable stopper

3D printable bottle stopper for resealing wine bottles. I've made this in halves (that need to be glued together) mainly for strength but have also included the parts as one piece. I think they should work but the handle will need to be printed with support. It prints and works well when using the halves. I use a small piece of 3mm filament about 12.5mm 1/2 inch as the axle to connect the handle to the plunger but there is 1.75 mm option included. The stopper/bung part needs to be printed in Ninjaflex with 100% infill. The stopper/bung works and actually creates a water tight seal not sure how effective it will be in the long term. I've added two wider bungs, I tried the tightest version and it is very tight so I have added another one that shouldn't be as tight. One thing I noticed though, if your putting it in the fridge it does loosen off as it contracts from the cold. Caution Depending on what materials you use it may not be food safe so use at your own risk. Ninjaflex doesn't contain any known toxins according to their website. It shouldn't come into contact with the wine anyway. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa Mendel i2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 25% Notes: These are the setting I used for the plunger and the handle, the cap I printed 100% infill. This is important : The bung was printed 100% infill. I printed many bungs at different infills trying to get it to work and this was the best design/infill I achieved so far Post-Printing Glue together the two halves of the plunger once stuck re-drill the hole in the top of the plunger in necessary Slide the bung onto the plunger Insert the plunger into the cap Cut a length of filament about 12.5 mm or 1/2 inch Clean out the grooves in the handle that will take the filament make sure the piece of filament will fit in the grooves once the two halves of the handle are put together Insert the piece of filament into the hole in the plunger Glue the two halves of the handle with the filament sandwiched between the two, be careful not to get glue in the hole of the plunger Let everything set before trying to use the stopper because quite a bit of strain is exerted on the parts
