Set of wing ribs as part of the internal structure for a wing with a swept leading edge and some other interesting features. They are made with the intent of mounting on wood or composite rods to frame out a wing. Right now this is a very early stage. I hope to get the detail level up to that of the generic wing rib I made that could form a straight wing. Just takes some time to get it nice in Blender. Even when finished, this will need further adjustment. I don't have my own 3D printing gear, so you're going to need to do various checks and determine a usable scale before you try making it. ----[ Update 8/3/16 ]---- All the ribs should now have the holes for the supporting rods to pass though. The wingtip pieces are a little different, as instead of the I-beam like section they're closed on the outside face. (Intended to cap off the wing.) Other pieces will still need cleanup, but I'm sure when compared to the previous versions of the file - you may be able to see what direction it's going in terms of improved shape definition. How I Designed This Process of modeling in Blender along with a few thoughts on the underlying design.
