WINSINN Dual Gear Height Retainer

WINSINN Dual Gear Height Retainer

thingiverse

A height retainer for dual-gear extruders (specifically the one made by WINSINN). WINSINN's dual gear extruder relies on friction/pressure to mount a gear to the shaft of a motor. This is a flawed design, and leads to a slipped gear over time. While you could go and readjust the gear and tighten again, this leads to issues with the locking nut getting stripped (or in my case, not fitting any common allen wrench). This is a simple height retainer that is placed under the gear on the motor shaft. You then simply drop the gear onto the retainer, and reassemble the extruder as normal, making sure the flat (not the angled) cutout is aligned towards the bowden tube end (so that the other gear can sit in the angled cutout and align with the shaft gear).
