Wip: Tiny articulated bot added supports
thingiverse
Shira crafted this adorable robot model, which her 2.5-year-old son can't get enough of. However, I experienced some issues during printing. The head began moving erratically, and the hands fell out afterwards. To address these problems, I added extra supports to the head, making it possible to print the model as large or small as desired. To enhance stability, the hand joints were slightly enlarged so they wouldn't fall out again. This was a temporary fix that involved combining several intersecting meshes. I used Cura slicer with expert settings to achieve this. After printing: Carefully use a knife or scissors to cut through the four small bars located in the gap between the torso and neck. Then, apply gentle force to snap off the original supports, releasing the head from its temporary holder.
