Wire Clamp for 14 gauge Antenna Wire

Wire Clamp for 14 gauge Antenna Wire

thingiverse

Wire clamp for my random-length end-fed vertical wire HF antenna. Sized for 14 gauge and it is a CLOSE fit - but works so used it as is. Paired with 10-24 x 1/2 inch brass screws and 10-24 brass nuts to clamp PETG blocks on wire. The nuts need to be tapped in with a small hammer, and stay in when up ladder or on roof to assemble. (Recommend assembling on ground first if antenna not already in the air--Be Safe!) The 1/2 inch screws are -just- long enough to bite into nuts and hold fast, without protruding out other side. This did make it a bit fussy to screw in, however all does fit as designed. Make sure wires run in grooves. Holds great, no slip. Designed in Fusion 360, with f3d file included. Should be an easy project for Tinkercad or any other design tool, if you want to design you own. 73!
