Wire/Filament Spool Holder Bracket (Print in Place)

Wire/Filament Spool Holder Bracket (Print in Place)

<p>This wire(or filament) spool holder can hold a tube in position to organize and easily use spools of material. This print contains a latch that prevents the tube rotating and helps with the strength of the hold.&nbsp;</p><p>The main version i made holds a tube .625in(15.875mm) in diameter. However, you can use the STEP or Fusion 360(with parameters) file to change it. I uploaded a .5in(12.7mm) just in case as well.</p><figure class="media"><oembed url="https://youtu.be/pGPCKg7630g"></oembed></figure><h3><i><strong>Mounting:</strong></i></h3><p><strong>To mount the bracket to the ceiling</strong>, I would follow this:</p><ol><li>Measure the distance between the two holes<img class="image_resized" style="width:63.57%;" src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/74052/rich_content/d53d248d-0148-413e-964f-f5cab7c7d864/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%229085bf71-bf31-4278-bfda-088d1d12d9da%22%2C%22w%22%3A980%2C%22h%22%3A540%7D"></li><li>Drill in the screws to the ceiling (without the bracket) to create the threads<img></li><li>Drill out the screws<img class="image_resized" style="width:14.37%;" src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/74052/rich_content/f028c164-8d30-4442-80dd-0b0ae15a19b9/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22abb98b01-2b73-4d3e-842e-745ace745c15%22%2C%22w%22%3A177%2C%22h%22%3A92%7D"></li><li>Place the bracket with the screws, hand tighten just to hold in place.</li><li>Tighten the screws. <strong>To reach the screws you can use a small torque wrench OR print the small wrench I have uploaded here.&nbsp;</strong></li></ol><p><strong>Its a remix of </strong>https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/16562-bit-handle/files</p><figure class="image image-style-align-center image_resized" style="width:42.95%;"><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/74052/rich_content/0765af4c-46ee-427d-9666-902e95e21c21/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22f3d93d1c-50a0-499a-9970-f497bea7c64e%22%2C%22w%22%3A539%2C%22h%22%3A322%7D"></figure><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This is one of my first print in place designs. I uploaded a Fusion 360 model that contains all the parametric variables that relate to clearance and tube diameter. <strong>Feel free to edit but please please let me know if you do and its successful. It took me a good amount of learning to do this model so it would be awesome to see the results.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3><i>Slicing Recommendation Notes:</i></h3><ol><li>To do this print successfully i recommend checking the <i><strong>“Avoid crossing perimeters”</strong></i> option, found below.
