I made these brackets to mount an aluminum rod for convenient wire spool storage underneath the shelves on my workbench. Each rod can hold 4-6 wire spools, depending on gauge. # Hardware 2x Printed Part [1/2" x 12" Aluminum Rod](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G6J6JC2?tag=synack-20) [M2.5 Assortment Kit](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F14J7X8/?tag=synack-20) - 4x 10mm M2.5 Socket Head Cap Screw - 4x M2.5 Hex Nut - 4x M2.5 Washer [Stainless Steel Overshelf](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086ZXQ9HB/?tag=synack-20) # Assembly Put the washers in the countersunk holes on the inside diameter, then the hex nuts. Push the aluminum rod through the hole. Install the bolts from the outside, as you tighten them, they will thread through the hex nuts and push against the aluminum rod. Add your wire spools then install a second printed mount on the other end of the rod. With my shelf, there are 24.5mm between the inside faces of the two printed parts. Adjust this spacing to fit.
