The camera will slide on a linear axis moved by a motor, and at the same time it will keep the view on an object placed in any position in the space, performing a panoramic shot of the same object.

The system is easily adaptable to any type of device (Smarphone, Action Cam, DSLR Camera etc ...).

It will only be necessary to indicate the position of the object to be tracked by means of two coordinates in order to keep the target in the center of the camera view.

The application will allow both an automatic control of the slider, allowing you to constantly point at an object, but also a manual control allowing you to individually adjust each axis according to your needs.

Remotely controlled via smartphone application

Download the application compatible with your device to use the slider:

iOS - coming soon

Android Last Update: 17/05/2022

Download the Arduino code

For this project, we have chosen to use an ESP32 device, which is a Dual-Core controller with high computing power, which allows you to manage the calculations and the Bluetooth connection efficiently.

Arduino Code

Stepper motor driver TMC2208 update:

It is preferable to use the TMC2208 ultra-quiet stepper motor driver in DIY mode, instead of the A4988 driver shown in the diagram in the figure, by making the following simple changes:

Enable----> GND

M1      ----> 3.3V

M2      ----> 3.3V
Do not use any jumper between the CLK and PDN pins. It is not necessary to use the NC pin. You will not need to make any other changes to the code or electronics.

FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM - @resinair_
