Wires Chain Mechanism

For amusement, I tested Solidworks 2016's contact properties, leading to an idea where the entire chain moves solely through contact interactions. The animation was created using Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition, with frames edited in Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP formats. MyMP4BoxGui was used to remux the video into MP4 format, while PhotoScape was employed to make GIFs from the rendered images. IrfanView aided in editing the renders. The model can be accessed in various formats, including 3D-PDF, SIMLAB files, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, SketchUp, 3DS, DWF, and FBX, all of which are animated.
