Inspired by cerberus333 minnow and dragon fly fishing lure moulds, I decided a witchety grub lure might have some success. Using silicon sealant to make the grub, no idea if the fish will try to bite it but as I've printed a reel thought I should give it a go. You can add colour with food dye. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm - 0.1mm Infill: 25% Post-Printing Best techniques for making fish Silicone sealant I used spray on canola oil but you will need some form of release or else it will stick. I use a bit of cardboard to then scape the faces fairly flat. At this point you can either let the halves set in the sun or somewhere warm this should only take a couple of hours here in Australian summer. You will then need to gently pull the grub halves out of the mould and glue them together with more silicone sealant. I have added food dye to colour the silicone first. Otherwise once you have the halves prepared, put them together using tie wire or small zip ties if you do it this way it will take much longer to dry possibly a couple of days. How I Designed This I used blender to model the grub, then used the boolean tool to create the female halves.
