The human body is a complex and intricate machine, comprising of trillions of cells that work together in harmony to maintain life. The lungs expand and contract, taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide through the process of respiration. The kidneys filter waste products from the blood and regulate the body's fluid balance by controlling the amount of urine produced. The immune system protects the body against pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, and other foreign substances that can cause disease. It consists of various components including white blood cells, which destroy infected cells and produce antibodies to fight infection. The skin serves as a barrier against external agents, preventing them from entering the body and causing harm.
