WL 12428 Tire Skin

The WL 12428 is a great toy for the kids, but in less than 1 week - the tires are starting to shred! You likely will have the same problem in the short time of owning this vehicle. Four new tires cost at least $25 dollars, so I figured to design these pullover skins for 0.60 cents per tire is worth it! They are brilliant and work great with no slippage. I made the inside of the tires rough, so it grabs the worn out compound of your original tires to prevent slippage due to high torque acceleration of this car. Depending on your TPU, you will get medium to high grab on driving surfaces. I printed using a slightly harder TPU and this gives some slight drift that the kids love. I recommend you remove your original tire and knead this newly printed tire skin on. It takes about 1 minute to get on nicely. If you still have tread on your tires (is that possible?), this will be more challenging but it can be done. Lay tire on side and print with no supports. Takes about 1h to print a tire on my Ender3 Pro. I slowed it slightly down to 50mm/sec, but tires are essentially a vase, so they print well even on a fast setting. The TPU used is a medium grip material, so it's stiffer and barely strings even at these high speeds.
