it looks like the Wolfram logo. Instructions you start in blender with an icosphere, and apply a modifier called subdivision surface. then select every point that sticks out and scale it up to about 3.5-5. at that point you have a pointy sphere like a 3D star. then apply the modifier subdivision surface again with the view to 6 this time.
