Wooden Railway Bridge Support

Wooden Railway Bridge Support

thingiverse

My nephew has a wooden train set, with a bridge and raised sections. It's great fun to play with, but the raised sections have always been very fragile and fall over at the slightest knock, which happens a lot with a two year old (and, to be fair, with me). I designed these supports to securely clip onto the wooden track, without getting in the way of the trains, and keep the whole structure from falling apart. They work really well, it stays intact even with very enthusiastic zooming around of trains. I've made it customisable (or customizable, if you like) if you need to tweak the defaults, see the attached image for what variables affect what, but these settings work well for me. Please let me know if you make any! Overview and Background Lesson Plan and Activity
