Wooden Thomas - Replacement Arch for Tidmouth Sheds Turntable

Wooden Thomas - Replacement Arch for Tidmouth Sheds Turntable

thingiverse

Our Thomas the Tank Engine (wooden track) Tidmouth Sheds, bought about the year 2000, had plastic arches on the sides of its turntable, held in place by friction-fit pins. These pins were easy to break off, and one of ours was broken. I couldn't find a replacement at the time. Now my grandson is playing with this, and I decided to 3D print a replacement. Note the design may have changed over the years; ours has pins a little less than 5 mm in diameter, 104.5 mm apart. Those are probably the only critical dimensions. eSun PLA+ red filament is very close to the original color, though of course you could print two and use any color you like. I've included the OpenSCad source file, but if you have the same pin spacing as us there's really not much to customize.
